After playing the sax in his school band and being influenced by the likes of George Clinton, Christopher Mooney arrived on the underground club scene in 2000, drawn in by the sound of funky disco house. He immediately became a part of the scene and formed the group JSP Tribe, helping to promote three events in the Fort Wayne and Indianapolis scene from 2001 to 2002. At this time he made the move to start spinning vinyl and took to the sounds of hardcore and techno, joining the group KME (Keep Music Evil) Productions by the end of 2002.
From 2002 to 2010, he spent most of his time searching through from one genre to another, keeping up on the movement and development of electronic music, and playing house parties from time to time during that period. In September 2010 he formed Funk You, Inc with Andrew Harter and reinvented himself as DJ Declan. Whether it be Electro, Techno, or Deep House, Declan has a mission to bring a funky vibe to any genre he plays.
Bringing together his most powerful local influences, such as Clyde Donovan, Shaun C, Danny Dillinger, and Josh Elias into FYI, Christopher pushes to promote these artists into the spotlight as they create original tracks and mixes to rock any crowd. Dedicated to using his knowledge of electronic music and the influence it has on mainstream music, Christopher aims to make Funk You, Inc one of the most complete production and promotion crews in the Midwest.
Danny D:
Starting at the age of 15, while attending warehouse parties, he was instantly drawn to the underground sound. Shortly after, he was hooked, and started mixing on his own. After honing his skills over the last several years, Danny D has been performing slammin’ house sets that keep the crowd on their toes. Constantly utilizing his skills in turntablism, he always leaves the crowd wanting more of that funky jackin’ underground sound. Influences include DJ Sneak, Jeff Service, Rick Nielson, Wattie Green, Ryan Truman, Mike Dixon, Bryan Jones and High Maintenance. Along with being a member of the FYI crew, Danny is also one of the co-founders of Fort Wayne House Authority along with Shaun C and Big Craig.
Clyde Donovan:
Hailing from the Fort Wayne, Indiana area, Clyde Donovan is a founding member of Funk You, Inc. (F.Y.I.), Fort Wayne's newest and premier collaboration of talented DJs and up-and-coming producers. He got his start in music at a young age with his experience covering a wide range of instruments and playing with various school bands. After getting into the Electronic Music Scene in 1995, he saw The Crystal Method live in 1997, an experience that changed the direction of his musical life. In 2000 he saw Hardfloor, which only strengthened his obvious passion for the scene. Both TCM and Hardfloor are considered his two main influences and reasons for being where he is today.
Since the early 2000s, he has been DJing an eclectic mix of music around the region, including performing under the alias "An-D" for hardcore. He's rocked dance floors alongside the likes of Submerge 101, Joey Beltram and Delta-9. He continues to hone his stellar skills on the decks and various other mediums, whether it be CD-Js, vinyl, a midi-controller or anything else. His versatility makes him virtually unstoppable and a definite crowd-pleaser. Although he is currently focusing more on the studio and production side, he's still known to rock a dance floor with bangin' electro house or techno sets. During his sets, he plays on his inspiration from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Felix Da Housecat, Tommie Sunshine and D.A.V.E. the Drummer, all of whom greatly shaped this talented and versatile musician, DJ and producer.
